Eric graduated from Harvard in 2008, where he wrote a bi-weekly humor column for The Crimson. His experience as a freshman was either hilarious or traumatic, depending on whom you ask, and he wrote a book about it. That Book About Harvard was published in 2012 and made the Boston Globe bestseller list.
In 2015 Eric received his MFA in creative writing at Columbia University. His second book, Gut Check, was published in 2019 by Farrar, Strauss & Giroux.
